Title IX Disclaimer

The Addison Central School District affirms that it does not discriminate on the basis of sex in the educational programs or activities which it operates and it is required by Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 not to discriminate in such a manner. This policy on non-discrimination includes the following areas: recruitment and appointment of employees; employment pay and benefits; counseling services for students; access by students to educational programs, course offerings, and student activities.

The District official responsible for the coordination of activities relating to compliance with Title IX is the Title IX Officer, Mrs. Patrice Beadle. This official will provide information including complaint procedures to any student or employee who feels that his/her rights under Title IX may have been violated by the District or its officials.

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, 20 United States Code (U.S.C.) Section 1681 et seq. Prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex.

Current Openings

The Addison School District continually seeks highly qualified educators and support staff to achieve our mission. We have over 125 full-time and part-time teachers along with over 100 support staff. Our teachers present an instructional program that is aimed toward achieving the highest levels of success and achievement for all students. In addition the district provides on-going staff development and training for teachers in order to support professional development and growth. If you wish to be considered for a teaching or support staff position, you may complete an application and submit it to any school building within the district.  Click here to obtain an application for employment.

Substitutes need to be fingerprinted and approved by the Board of Education before they can go on our district-wide substitute list.  Fingerprint packets and substitute applications are available in all school buildings and the district office from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.  It is your responsibility to have your fingerprints done and to submit a complete application.  A complete application will consist of the following items:

  • Either a completed Civil Service (Support Staff) or Professional (Instructional) Application
  • A Cover Letter and Resume
  • Copies of Valid New York State Teacher Certificates (if applying for a certified position)
