Our Vision:  Accept Challenges, Creatively Solve Problems, Show Strong Work Ethic and Demonstrate Social Responsibility
  • Greetings Addison Students and Families

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of Addison High School.  I am truly honored to accept this role and look forward to working with all stakeholders to positively impact student growth.  Working together, I am confident that we will continue to provide our students with a challenging, enriching, and rewarding school experience.

My professional career includes twelve years as an English Teacher and two years as a Dean of Students in the Rochester City School District, and three years as an Assistant Principal at Geneva High School.  I love education and I love what I do.  It brings me joy to see the growth that students make throughout their high school careers.  I am excited to meet the students of the High School, and I am dedicated to working with families to make sure the High School experience is enriching for students.  If you see me out and about at events or in the community, please say hello!  I am eager to meet everyone in the Addison Community.

The high school years are an incredibly important time in the life of a student. They are the years of sporting events, musicals and concerts, proms and homecomings, but also of Regents Exams, SAT’s, college, career, and/or military readiness, and a springboard into the future.  Addison High School is the structure that gives each student the opportunity to become a productive citizen and a lifelong learner.  Our staff of highly qualified professional educators and support personnel is committed to providing our students many opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. Faculty, staff, parents, and students need to work together to make the high school years successful, memorable, and enjoyable ones.

Please know that we highly value home/school communication.  It is vital and plays an integral role in the success of each student.  We encourage you to contact us if/when the need arises, and to “stay in the know” about your student’s studies, assignments, assessments, and school activities, as well as other events and happenings.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out.  I look forward to working with you and your students to make the 2021-2022 school year the best it can be.  Go Knights!

    Sincerely,

    Allison Stephens

    High School Principal
