    Middle School Student Council

    Mission and Purpose:

The Addison Middle School Student Council is a group of student leaders that work with an adult advisor to collaborate with others in their school to positively impact their school community.

    Student Council Members will:

    • PROMOTE CITIZENSHIP
    • PROMOTE SCHOLARSHIP
    • PROMOTE LEADERSHIP
    • PROMOTE HUMAN RELATIONS

The Middle School Student Council is composed of students in grades 6-8 who are elected as class officers to represent their grade.  Interested students are also given the opportunity to join through an interview process with the advisor.

The Student Council plans activities such as spirit days and dances.  The council also works to support students with encouraging signs during state testing and fun prizes during different holidays.

Members work on community service projects such as making holiday decorations, cards, and Valentines for residents at the Addison Place.  The group planted and maintains the Mid-Knight Monarch Butterfly Garden at the Addison Middle School.
