    Imagine your classroom full of capable, confident learners excited about reading and eager to learn.  Our academics programs start at a very early age and allows your child to build a solid foundation for their future academic success.

    PALS assessments are designed to identify students in need of additional reading instruction beyond that provided to typically developing readers. PALS also informs teachers’ instruction by providing them with explicit information about their students’ knowledge of literacy fundamentals.

  • The Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test, Fourth Edition logo features the acronym PPVT and the number 4 in a red, green, purple, and yellow color scheme.

    The PPVT test is individually administered and norm-referenced. Use it to:

    • Quickly evaluate receptive vocabulary with a test that requires no reading or writing

    • Monitor progress using two parallel forms

    • Move immediately into evidence-based interventions using those embedded directly into and linked into the scoring and reporting software

    • Meet guidelines for universal screening, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and diagnostic testing in an RTI environment

    DIAL-4 provides comprehensive information, by evaluating all five early childhood areas:

    • Motor area: Gross Motor items include catching, jumping, hopping, and skipping. Fine Motor items include building with blocks, cutting, copying shapes and letters, and writing, and a popular fingertouching task.

    • Language area: Items include answering simple personal questions (name, age, and sex), articulation, naming (expressive) or identifying (receptive) objects and actions, plus phonemic awareness tasks such as rhyming and “I Spy.”

    • Concepts area: Items include pointing to named body parts, naming or identifying colors, rote counting, counting blocks, identifying concepts in a triad of pictures, and sorting shapes. Includes an item that assesses automatic naming of objects, a skill that is associated with potential learning disabilities.

    • Self-help development: Looks at the child’s development of personal care skills related to dressing, eating, and grooming.

    • Social development: Looks at the child’s development of social skills with other children and parents, including rule compliance, sharing, self-control, and empathy.

    Our 3 year old district classroom uses a Report Card to assess student learning.

    The district classrooms use portions of the Imagine IT! Curriculum.  SRA Imagine It! completely addresses the five key areas of Reading. Your students will begin instruction in these key areas as early as Pre-Kindergarten so they understand not just how to read and write, but the meaning and purpose of what they are learning:

    • Phonemic Awareness
    • Systematic, Explicit Phonics
    • Fluency
    • Vocabulary
    • Comprehension
